Ripple is now bringing XRP to U.S. Market

Ripple is now bringing XRP to U.S. Market: Ripple, a well-known company in cryptocurrency payments, is working to change how money is sent between countries in the United States using XRP and its Ripple Payments services.

Ripple Bringing XRP to the U.S. Market

Ripple shared this news through Oliver Segovia, their Senior Director in charge of Product Marketing for Payments. He mentioned on LinkedIn that Ripple wants to grow more in the U.S., focusing on expanding its presence there.

Segovia said that most of Ripple’s business, about 90%, serves foreign companies, even though its main office is in the United States. He also admitted that the American cryptocurrency payment company has had a quiet presence in the U.S. market for the last three years.

But, things are about to get busy as Ripple plans to launch new products using its licenses to transmit money locally. Remember, Ripple has more than 31 licenses for transmitting money in the United States, as reported by The Crypto Basic.

In simple terms, Ripple Payments is a service that uses XRP to quickly settle transactions within seconds, and it costs much less than traditional payment methods.

Ripple wants to use its extensive experience worldwide, as 90% of its business happens outside the U.S., to improve its services within the country.

Steps to Kick off This Transformative Journey

Additionally, the person in charge of payments at Ripple shared that they’re starting things off by organizing a fintech meetup. During the event, there will be a laid-back discussion about Ripple’s plans for blockchain and payments in 2024.

Brendan Berry and Pegah Soltani from Ripple will be in charge of this session, and Joanie Xie, Ripple’s U.S. Managing Director, will guide the discussion.

Additionally, Segovia invited people from Adyen, Marqeta, Plaid, and other companies to join a happy hour right after the event.

This event will happen at Ripple’s new San Francisco office. It’s on Wednesday, February 7th, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM PST. If you want to come, you can save your spot on the special website.
